ARIA HONOURABLE MENTION – COMPASSO D’ORO INTERNATIONAL AWARD 2025
A Global Stage for Italian Design Innovation
At Expo 2025 Osaka, the inaugural Compasso d’Oro International Award—the global edition of Italy’s most prestigious industrial design prize—celebrated projects that best interpret the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.”
The international jury awarded 20 Compassi d’Oro and 35 HONOURABLE MENTIONS, spotlighting designs that merge innovation, sustainability, and human-centered solutions.
Aria by Optimares Earns HONOURABLE MENTION
Aria, our state-of-the-art Business Class seat, earned an HONOURABLE MENTION, distinguishing itself for:
- Human-centered design: redefining comfort with direct aisle access, full-flat bed, and a balance between privacy and conviviality.
- Made in Italy craftsmanship: luxury finishes by Poltrona Frau and timeless Italian aesthetics.
- Sustainability: lightweight engineering, reduced complexity, and eco-conscious production processes.
This recognition confirms Aria’s alignment with global trends in responsible, inclusive, and forward-looking design.
A result achieved thanks to the synergy between Optimares and Goood Design, who collaborated closely in the product design and market analysis phases.
Objects awarded the Compasso d’Oro and HONOURABLE MENTION will become part of the ADI Compasso d’Oro Collection, officially declared by the Italian Ministry of Culture as being of “exceptional artistic and historical interest.”
